A Package from Great Nana & Great Granddad!!

We got a lovely surprise at our door step this morning!! Hayley was very excited to see what was in it.

She couldn't wait to open it...

She wanted me to open the first thing she pulled out!? She didn't care what else was in there, she wanted her iced gems.

And when she saw the hula hoops... I am so glad I captured this face on camera. She sure loves the hula hoops!

Our Weekend

Hey all! So, this past weekend Elija and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary. Not wedding anniversary, of course, but it has been 10 years since we started dating. We took a trip to South Haven, Michigan.

For the first time ever, we stayed at a bed and breakfast. We weren't too sure what to think, but we loved it!!

They pretty much treated us like royalty!! On Saturday morning we went curling... We had never done it before, but it was a beginners lesson that we attended. It was a ton of fun.



South Haven is a quiet little town. They get one newspaper per week... That's a small town!! It was beautiful though. We are looking forward to going back during the summer to see all of what is happening during that season. They have a beautiful lighthouse that we unfortunately couldn't walk down to due to the weather. Elija found a way to get pretty close to take some pictures though.

On Saturday night we enjoyed a nice fancy dinner. We usually don't go to places like the one we went. It is a nice Italian restaurant, Tello. I had chicken marsala and Elija had a New York Strip steak. I finished my dinner off with some Tiramisu!! Yummy.

While we were gone, Hayley stayed with her Godparents, Ryan and Sarah. She didn't really seem to miss us much at all, which just tells me that she was having a good time. She was happy to see us when we got home.

First Post

Hey everyone! Since some of the family isn't on facebook, I figured this could be a good way to keep in contact with everyone. This should be a good way to keep everybody informed of what is happening at the Poulos house.

So far everything is going well! Hayley just turned 15 months old and got on well at the doctors. Elija is still working nights at American Renolit and enjoying it. We both are very active with our church. We volunteer at the food pantry weekly and teach 1st-5th grade kids Sunday school every other Sunday.

 

We took a trip out to Reno and Modesto in January to see family. It was great!! While on vacation, our camera broke :( We were able to borrow a camera to take pictures while we were there, but we haven't been able to take any since. We ordered another one, and it finally arrived today,. We are going to take it back, it's not a good camera at all. Already has a broken light and it doesn't hold the battery in very well. So, as soon as we get a new camera we will have new pictures up!! But for now, this is what we have...

For some reason I can't upload any more pictures... I want to include at least one of Hayley with her Nana, her Aunt Zara, and her Uncle CJ. I will have to come back to this later to finish!! It's a little too late to think technically right now!!
